Recipe: Carrot Pineapple Smoothie

September 2, 2014 – Hi everyone! It’s Ali from Gimme Some Oven, and I’m back today to share with you one of my favorite recipes for starting my day — this Carrot Pineapple Smoothie.

I jokingly refer to this as my “sunshine smoothie”, because as you can see, it basically looks like sunshine in a glass! And it tastes just as bright and sunny as it looks. The carrots and pineapple pair perfectly to make this a naturally sweet, light and refreshing breakfast. And all of those good-for-you vitamins packed in there will definitely help you get your day off to a strong start.

If you read my post last month, you might also remember that I’m a mega fan of the affordable fresh pineapples that ALDI keeps in stock. So be sure to pick up an extra pineapple the next time you’re there to make this yummy smoothie. Enjoy!

Carrot Pineapple Smoothie

Ingredients
2 cups chopped pineapple
1 cup chopped carrot
1 cup ice
½ cup Nature’s Nectar Premium Orange Juice Not From Concentrate
1 banana

Directions

  1. In a blender, combine all ingredients. Blend until smooth, about 30 seconds.
