Best in Glass

March 2, 2016 – Our shoppers know all about the variety of vino at ALDI. They know our shelves are the place to find wines with superior quality and taste for every celebration and relaxing evening at home – all at low ALDI prices. They know it! But does everyone else?

We’ve teamed up with Bon Appétit for a few different projects lately – like this one…and this one! After such a fruitful partnership, we decided it was time to shake things up at the Bon Appétit offices with a little surprise….

Want to recreate this happiest of happy hours at home? Pick a few bottles from our cheat sheet – they’re all under $13!

Broken Clouds Pinot Noir
With exquisite and distinctive flavors of strawberries, raspberries and allspice, this California wine pairs well with beef dishes or goat cheese.

Outlander Meritage
This complex red boasts depth of flavor with notes of plum, blackberry, anise and vanilla. Perfect with a big ol’ bowl of pasta and tomato sauce.

Kelly’s Crossing Sauvignon Blanc
Sweet fresh fruit flavors and well-balanced acidity make this crisp white wine one of our very favorites. Sip it with light dishes like summer salads or seafood.

Villanella Pinot Grigio
This floral wine has flavors of pear and Golden Delicious apples. Its edge of acidity makes it a natural accompaniment to mild cheeses.

Grandi Mori Valdobbiadene Prosecco
Honeysuckle aromas round out the bright fruit and green apple tones of this aperitif. Wonderful with fresh fruit and salads.

We didn’t forget about snacks! Pick your favorites and style a finger-foods spread to accompany your wines.

I shop at Aldi anyway so I’m sure it is good wine. I don’t drink but I am a loyal customer at Aldi’s. Their prices and quality of merchandise is wonderful.

      goofy lol
I have been shopping at Aldi since they arrived in W-S ….. first on Peters Creek Pkwy, then when I move across town….thankfully they arrived on Hanes Mill Road shortly thereafter, making my shopping easier, no more driving across town to save money….it is good to save money and still get excellent quality and quantity. I do not understand these uninformed words of Melissa…evidently she had a bad experience…but in all the years I have shopped ther my worst experience is ”they might be out of eggs ..because their prices are SO GOOD!!!!!

Luv Aldi. Shop there often and I do buy my wine there Pino G is my choice. Other great quality foods, fresh veg. Luv to try the different condiments in a jar. Usually try one or two every so often to expand my taste.

Any possibility of an Aldi’s coming to Saraslota, FL anytime soon? When I lived in Illinolis, and now when I visit in the summer, I do a lot of shopping there, as do a lot of my friends who live up North and stay down in this area in the winter.

Hi Sherrill! Please note that due to some state and local laws, not all ALDI locations sell wine and beer. Rest assured that we want to provide each ALDI store with our complete product line and will continue to work to achieve this. If a particular location sells wine or beer, an icon will appear in the “Extras” column of our store locator here: http://bit.ly/1hXb8ek

I’d like to shop at one in the Monterey CA peninsula. We are in dire need for a shop offering. quality products. Our selection is limited and this Peninsula has the income…Whole Foods ..only one small store, a few cheese boutiques that leave quickly because of the rent and can’t get the advertising out to the public soon enough. There is a new magazine “Edible” that Iis bringing info to the consumer but we still need a store such as yours. There’a plenty of real estate. Please consider

Tennessee is about to allow wines in grocery stores. Will your TN carry wines at your stores at that time.

A very loyal customer weekly. BTW your cart return program is ingenious!

We shop Aldi & for the most part we love the quality & low prices except for the fish you import from China. That’s a big NO for myself & my family & friends.
Please let’s just stick to American fish. There is plenty here! PS. I wouldn’t even mind paying a little extra for quality fish from the USA!!! Thanks so much

We do not have wine in Aldis. But I cannot say enough positive things about Aldis. I am a recently diagnosed Celiac. The excellent variety of gluten-free food is outstanding. The prices have any store beat hands down. Kudos to Aldi for an awesome place to shop!

I have been buying the Blackberry Merlot like crazy since last summer. It is so delicious with Pasta meals and just relaxing with a movie. It is excellent tasting and full of antioxidants.

I shop at your stores when I am in a town where you are located. I know that you are opening several new stores in the US this year. At this time I must drive at least 1 to 2 hours to get to a store. It would be great if you opened a store in extreme North Georgia or far Western North Carolina. The primary grocery stores in this area is Ingles markets who try to compete with Kroger and Publix. I like the no frills approach that you have. I hate to shop for groceries and when I can go in and get what I need without having to play seek and find I am happy. Your products are comparable to name brand but cheaper. I haven’t tried any of your wines but a friend recommended them to me. I do like your cheese selection and the fruits and vegetables are great. I love paying less than $5.00 for fresh pineapple and not having to pay almost $4.00 for a dozen eggs. A pound of butter for $1.99 is unheard of at our local Ingles market is unheard of, their store brand is over $3.00. I am praying for the day when I can drive to one of your stores in 15 minutes.

Please give me the plural of Aldi. For some reason in Illinois, people are compelled to call Aldi, Aldi’s. And when corrected they say they are referring to more than one. I’ve read that Aldi is already pluralized. Thanks in advance for a once and for all settlement to a long time debate.

Have always been an Aldi fan and rreally appreciated the new recent renovation of our only store here in Paducah, KY.
However why we are denied any of your wine or beer is a a question I can not figure out. This is not a dry area. Give us a try Aldi. Thank-you.

I absolutely thought the Aldi’s specially New York aged white cheddar cheese, was out of this world,
but the lady in the store said you were only selling it at Xmas time, is that true ? I have tried your coffee
also very good, and love the price on your breads. I like trying your store brands, as they taste
better than the expensive stuff that doesn’t even come near it. Thank you and let me know about the
cheese, can’t live with out it.
