Help Us Give Back This Friendsgiving with Venmo and Feeding America®

Friendsgiving is a time when friends can get together to share a meal and make new traditions. It’s also the perfect opportunity to embrace the traditions you love, toss the ones you don’t and try something new. To celebrate this Friendsgiving, we’re bringing even more to the table – from turkey, award-winning wines, to gourmet cheeses and holiday décor, we have everything you need to save more so you can give more!

This year, we’re teaming up with Venmo for a first-of-its kind charitable campaign to add a new tradition of giving to your Friendsgiving celebrations! Together we designed the first Friendsgiving Turkey Hand emoji. Every time the Turkey Hand is used in a Venmo payment note in November, we’ll donate 10 meals to our friends at Feeding America®, the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization.

We’re working to provide 1 million meals ($100,000) to families in need this holiday, secured by Feeding America on behalf of their local member food banks. Together, Feeding America provides food to more than 46 million people through 60,000 food pantries and meal programs in communities across America.

Inspired by the popular childhood craft project, the Turkey Hand is a fun representation of the spirit of giving and coming together with friends. As you work to determine who’s bringing what this Friendsgiving, make sure to use the Venmo app along with the custom Turkey Hand emoji to help us donate to this amazing cause.

We’re so honored to have the opportunity to help people in need during this holiday season, and we hope you join us in using our custom Turkey Hand emoji. Let us know how you’ll use it this Friendsgiving in the comments below!

YESSSSS. I love this. Thank you for continually leading the pack in your industry and showing how it should be done. Mark this up as another win for Aldi!

After reading about the meals Aldi is so generously donating, I sent the link to two people that were making Venmo payments to me this month .
Neither of them could find the turkey emoji on Venmo!!!!!

Even after typing Friendsgiving in both the Venmo emoji search box and the regular comment box the Turkey Hand did not pop up!
