5 New Uses for Your Waffle Maker

090314_S_43748_KL_BelgianWaffleSeptember 3, 2014 – With a little creativity, a waffle maker can turn into a cinnamon roll making, mac and cheese grilling, pizza pocket baking machine! Starting this week, the Kitchen Living Belgian Waffle Maker is available on Special Buy for $14.99 and features extra deep, non-stick plates for 1” waffles, an adjustable thermostat and is available in red, black or white. These new uses will make it worth every penny.

Ooey Gooey Cinnamon Goodness
Move over buttermilk batter, cinnamon roll waffles are giving you a run for your money. Place a Bake House Creation Jumbo Cinnamon Roll in the center and close the lid. Once the bun is done (about three minutes), top with your favorite glaze and voilà!

Mac and Cheese Bites
Start with a box of Cheese Club Macaroni and Cheese – follow the directions on the box until you have a finished product. Next, spread the mac and cheese onto a cookie sheet and let cool in the refrigerator until it sets (about 30 minutes). Cut your cold mac and cheese into squares about the size of a piece of bread and place in your waffle maker until golden. This might be the best way to eat mac and cheese…ever.

Waffled Hash Brown
Another twist on a classic breakfast favorite! Place hash browns in the waffle maker and heat until they are crispy. Perfect for an egg sandwich – just add eggs, bacon and cheese!

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream Sandwiches
Sandwich your favorite ice cream between two waffles for a fun and easy project. Throw in some Baker’s Corner Milk Chocolate Baking Morsels to the batter for a yummy version of a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich.

Perfect Pizza Pockets
Pizza night will never be the same again. Fill Bake House Creations Crescent Rolls with your favorite pizza toppings and roll to close. Bake in your waffle maker until browned. Perfect portable snacks for your family movie night!

You can also make waffle cookies. You can use any type of dough, store-bought or homemade, and make them as big as the waffle maker. Just cook them till they’re golden brown. Remember though, the more you put in for each cookie, the softer/chewier the cookies will be; and the thinner you spread out the dough the crispier they’ll be.
