March 15, 2016 – Coloring Easter eggs is more than just hard-boil, dip and let dry. In fact – we’re showing you three of our favorite ways to decorate those eggs! Festive tape, a glittery touch and even pearl will give your egg dying party a funky new twist on traditional crafts. Check out the video below and read how to achieve each look, too!
Adorn your colored eggs with craft tape found at your local craft store. Any tape will do! Bright colors, metallic or patterned pieces give your eggs a festive feel and add a touch of personal flare!
Give It Some Glitter
Complement your colored (or plain white!) eggs with a touch of glitter! Fill small bowls with one color glitter each (or mix colors if that tickles your fancy!) and another small bowl with liquid glue and a few drops of water. Once your eggs are hard-boiled and dry, dip one end in the glue mixture and then directly in your glitter. Set aside and let dry!
Top It Off With Pearl
This week at ALDI you can find the Majestic Egg Dye Kit* for $1.49 and add a little pearl to your eggs – what could be better?! It’s as easy as 1-2-3…seriously. Hard-boil your eggs and let cool. Pour the dye into the plastic bag and gently drop your egg in, too. Give it a little swish with your hands and remove! I know we said it was as easy as 1-2-3…but here comes step 4: show off your awesome pearl egg!
Like what you see in the video? Stick to the basics with our Egg Decorating Kit* or give it a swirl with our Swirl an Egg Kit*, both only $1.49.
